Hawksley Workman - No Sissies
Well that was fun.
It’s sloppy and the drums continue to sound pretty bad (50+ year old drums, terrible heads, “cymbals,” two mics, mediocre drummer), but I’m not making any excuses. 2 hours of recording isn’t going to result in many masterpieces.
Hawksley has one of the most amazing male voices I’ve ever heard (seriously), so my options for realistic covers were fairly limited; surprisingly I felt pretty comfortable singing this one. I really wish I could’ve done it in the morning with a fresh voice. Maybe next time.
